1. Airport procedures

Immigration

When you arrive at a Japanese airport, you will go through immigration.

Please present your passport, Certificate of Eligibility (COE), and visa.

Receiving your residence card

Once you have passed immigration, you will be issued a residence card.

2. Resident registration at city hall

Within 14 days of arriving in Japan, you will need to register as a resident at your local city hall. You will need your residence card and passport to register as a resident.

3. Opening a bank account

In order to live in Japan, you will need to open a bank account. You will need your residence card, passport, and proof of resident registration.

4. Enrolling in health insurance

When you register as a resident at the city hall, you will also enroll in health insurance, which will cover part of your medical expenses.

5. Joining Procedures

Complete the joining procedures with the company. Provide the company with the necessary documents and information.
